So after a long day of driving (9 hrs on the road) we have made it to New River Gorge.
It has been a bit surreal for the both of us so far...it just feels like any other climbing trip. We are thinking that it will hit us when we leave for Kentucky, but we will let you know.
We are sleeping in the car tonight in the lot across from the cliff band.
Thought from the day:
There are a lot of freakin cows and corn fields in pennsylvania...
We have decided to not listen to any one album more than once on our trip. Today we have listened to (in order of occurrence):
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium (disc 1)
A Mix disc from Lisa and Leslie (thanks guys...gave us a bit of a laugh)
Rage Against the Machine - Renegades
REM - Green (this is when we decided to do the "every album only once" thing...we didn't want to waste all of the good stuff in the first week...)
Scott Weiland - 16 Bar Blues
Weezer - the one with Beverly Hills on it...
All of the CSNY songs on my Ipod
Climbing commences tomorrow...
